The Wehrmacht (German pronunciation: [ˈveːɐ̯maxt] ( listen) Defence Force) was the unified armed forces of Germany from 1935 to 1945. It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force).
